The instrument has a diameter of 51 cm, a height of 16–18 cm, and weighs 5.9 kg.
The RAV Vast Drum features a fundamental bass tone and eight melodic tones. Its sound is captivating, deeply inspiring, and utterly unique, characterized by long, rich resonances and a broad, vibrant spectrum of shifting overtones and harmonics. These can be created on each individual tone through various striking and touching techniques. Thanks to a special patented technology, up to six of these overtones (harmonics) can be played on each tone, with seven harmonics tuned on the central tone. It is possible to play all these harmonic tones separately, expanding the instrument’s range to up to two octaves. The instrument is played by hand.
