RAV Moon D Pygmy is a compact melodic metal instrument made of stainless steel. It has a central bass tone and eight melodic tones arranged around it. The D Pygmy tuning has a calm, meditative character. The tones harmonize beautifully and naturally lead to fluid, intuitive playing. Compared to larger RAV Vasts, the RAV Moon is smaller and lighter. It has a diameter of approx. 39 cm and weighs approximately 3 kg, making it easy to carry and suitable for travel. At the same time, it retains long reverberation, rich overtones, and sensitive response to touch.

It is played primarily with the hands - fingers, fingertips, or palms. You can intuitively sound the instrument, search for your own melodic and rhythmic motifs, and gradually develop a feel for touch, rhythm, and dynamics.

How to play the instrument

Place the RAV Moon in front of you or on your lap and sound the tones with your hands - finger pads, fingertips, or palms. A light touch will sound the tone, which fades for a long time. By using different ways of touching, you can change the tone color, volume, and dynamics.

Thanks to its more compact dimensions, the RAV Moon is also practical for carrying, but it still offers a rich sound and space for both melodic and rhythmic playing.
