Description
Rotating Sound Waves AIR
Rotating Sound Waves AIR are a nine-tone resonant instrument with a light, open, and airy sound. By their character, they naturally resonate with the element of air - lightness, openness, and free flow. They are suitable for meditation, relaxation, sound baths, yoga, breathing exercises, music therapy, working with clients, and moments of personal calming.
The Air tuning is based on the pentatonic scale C - Eb - F - Ab - Bb - C - Eb - F - Ab. Thanks to this tuning, the individual tones harmonize naturally and easily create light chords and simple melodies.
Their sound is gentle, open, and flowing. When played softly, pure tones are produced with a pleasant sustain and gentle overtone resonances. As the instrument moves, the tones begin to slowly spread through the space, approaching, receding, and creating light, flowing sound waves.

How to Play the Rotating Sound Waves
Playing the Rotating Waves AIR is very simple. First, gently strike the individual tones with a mallet. You can start with one tone, a simple melody, or several tones that gradually blend into a pleasant harmony.
Then you can slowly move the instrument in your hand, circle it, change the direction of movement, or hang it up and let it rotate gently. It is the movement that creates the typical spatial effect of rotating waves – tones approach, recede, change direction, and create ever-new harmonies.
When suspended, the instrument can ring out freely and rotate gently in the space. This method is particularly suitable for meditation, breathing exercises, sound baths, or working with clients when you want the sound to feel light and open.
It is important to let the tones decay naturally. The silence between individual tones is part of the play and helps the subtle overtone resonances and the flow of sound in space to stand out.
Uses
Rotating Sound Waves AIR can be used for meditation, relaxation, yoga, breathing exercises, sound baths, music therapy, group work, and individual sessions.
Thanks to their light and open sound, they are suitable for meditations, breathing exercises, gentle relaxation, working with space, or as an airy addition to other meditation instruments. They combine beautifully with flutes, sansula, kalimba, crystal instruments, Tibetan bowls, or other gently sounding instruments.
