RAV Vast Drum C Golden Gate is a melodic metal instrument with a central bass tone and eight melodic tones. The C Golden Gate tuning has a bright, open, and brighter character. It feels lighter than deeper pygmy tunings and offers a beautiful space for melodic playing as well as more lively rhythmic motifs. RAV Vast has long reverberation, rich overtones, and sensitive response to touch. You can intuitively sound it, search for your own melodic and rhythmic motifs, and gradually develop a feel for touch, rhythm, and dynamics.

The instrument was developed by Andrey Remyannikov as a distinct alternative to the handpan. The tones are cut into the body of the instrument and supplemented with metal ribs inside, thanks to which they resonate long and richly.

It is played primarily with the hands - fingers, fingertips, or palms. A transport bag can be purchased separately.

How to play the drum

Place the RAV Vast in front of you or on your lap and sound the tones with your hands - finger pads, fingertips, or palms. Depending on the strength and location of the touch, you can play gently, more expressively, slowly, or more lively.

Different ways of touching can change the dynamics, tone color, and length of the reverberation. Overtones, which expand the instrument's sound possibilities, can also be sounded on individual tones.
