Meditation monochord of our own LENA brand, handcrafted from quality wood, with 36 strings in G or A tuning. The main strings are tuned to the root note, its lower octave, and an added fifth. Attached to them are 4 melodic notes with bridges, which can be tuned to minor or major pentatonic scale.

This creates a rich, flowing sound full of overtone harmonies, suitable for meditation, music therapy, sound baths, relaxation, and creative music.

How to play the monochord

You place the monochord on your lap, on the floor, on a table, or on standalone legs, and play it with your fingers. Simply gently run your fingers across the strings and let a long, flowing sound emerge.

The main strings resonate the root note, its octave, and fifth, creating a rich resonant space. Four melodic strings with bridges allow you to add a simple melodic line in pentatonic tuning. Playing is intuitive and requires no complex musical technique.
