Bronze gong 28" no. 8 Paiste - sample 2
Description
Bronze gong number 8 expresses the element of water.
Due to the high copper content, the colors of the gongs are warm reddish, ranging from golden glitter to dark brown earthy tones. Compared to gongs made of nickel silver, these gongs tend to have a deeper base tone, a warmer sound character and a more voluminous sound overall. Due to the nature of the alloy, the sound of bronze gongs changes over time with relaxation, aging and the effects of gong playing significantly more than gongs made of nickel silver. The basic sound character is always preserved, but the bronze gongs live and change, as does the player.
Bronze gong No. 8 is made of bronze alloy CuSn8 - 92% copper and 8% tin.
