ABOUT THE GONG

Bronze gong number 6 with a high-gloss finish offers a balanced, calm sound.

Due to the high copper content, the colors of the gongs are warmly reddish, ranging from golden shimmer to dark brown earthy tones. Compared to gongs made from nickel silver, these gongs have a deeper fundamental tone, warmer sound character, and overall more voluminous sound. Due to the nature of the alloy, the sound of bronze gongs changes significantly over time with relaxation, aging, and the influence of playing, much more than gongs made from nickel silver. The fundamental sound character is always preserved, but bronze gongs live and change, just like the player.

Bronze gong no. 6 is made from CuSn8 bronze alloy - 92% copper and 8% tin.
