Sound samples
Description
Bronze gong number 2 is created for the element of water. The center merges into polished edges. The gong has the distinctive sound of a raging river. It is made of CuSn8, 92% copper and 8% tin.
Due to the high copper content, the colors of the gong are warm reddish with a range from golden shimmer to dark brown earth tones. Compared to nickel silver gongs, these gongs tend to have a deeper base tone, a warmer sound character, and an overall more voluminous sound. The continuous character is lively, warm and deep. Due to the nature of the alloy, the sound of bronze gongs changes over time with relaxation, aging and the effects of playing the gong significantly more than gongs made of nickel silver. The basic character is always preserved, but the bronze gongs live and change.
