Bronze gong 28" no. 4 Paiste - sample
Description
Bronze Gong No. 4 embodies the element of water.
Due to the high copper content, the colors of these gongs are warmly reddish, ranging from a golden shimmer to dark brown earthy tones. Compared to gongs made of nickel silver, these gongs tend to have a deeper fundamental tone, a warmer sound character, and an overall more voluminous sound. Due to the nature of the alloy, the sound of bronze gongs changes over time through relaxation, aging, and the influence of playing significantly more than gongs made of nickel silver. The basic sound character is always preserved, but bronze gongs live and change, just like the player.
Bronze Gong No. 4 is made of the CuSn8 bronze alloy – 92% copper and 8% tin.
