Description

BAOPAN Handpan | C Minor Tuning | 12 Notes | Stainless Steel

The BAOPAN Handpan in C Minor tuning with 12 notes offers the same minor scale as the 17-note model – in a more focused and clearer form. Some of the notes are located on the bottom side of the instrument, giving you a wider range than standard 9-10 note handpans. The notes harmonize well together, allowing you to naturally develop melodies.

Key Features:

  • Tuning: C Minor - natural minor scale with the same foundation as the 17-note version
  • 12 notes: top and bottom side of the instrument, extended melodic range
  • Sound: clear and rich, with long sustain
  • Material: stainless steel - durable, with a stable and full sound

How to play the handpan:

You play the handpan with gentle finger touches on its surface. The central note – ding – in the middle is most often played with the thumb, while the surrounding notes are played with the index or middle finger. With this model, you can also use the notes on the bottom side, which further expand the playing possibilities. You determine the depth and color of the sound by the strength and sensitivity of your touch.

If you plan to travel with your handpan, we recommend purchasing the EVATEK protective case with a hard shell, which protects the instrument well. Handpan accessories can be found below.

How to choose a handpan:

The C Minor 12 notes is a suitable choice if you are looking for wider melodic possibilities than basic handpans, while still maintaining clarity in playing. Compared to the 17-note version, it feels more compact and is easier to navigate. It is suitable for improvisation, meditation, and sound work. If you are hesitant between versions, you can try the handpan in person at our showroom in Jablonec nad Nisou.

Why choose this handpan:
