Original Chinese temple gong with a powerful, deep, and immensely rich sound.

Chao gong means "earthy" gong and is the counterpart to the wind gong (Feng gong). Its sound spreads quickly through space and has a different type of frequency than the Feng gong. The gongs we offer come from the highest quality original traditional production.

Chao Gongs are made with a thinner center and a thick rim where the metal is folded. This design concentrates the vibrations in the center, while the outer rim holds the tone until all overtones fade and only the vibration of the deepest fundamental tone is heard.

This earthy gong has a Ø 15 cm (front side) / 17 cm Ø (back side).
