Water drum
Description
ABOUT THE INSTRUMENT
A large gourd bowl filled with water, while a smaller gourd floats upside down. It is played with hands or padded mallets, and the water level influences the pitch of the sound.
These drums are traditionally used by women from the Senufo and Malinke tribes (African ethnic groups).
Includes two mallets and a pad.
