BRASS TUNING FORKS

Brass tuning forks are known for their warm, rich, and long-lasting sound. Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc, characterized by high density, corrosion resistance, and long durability. Brass tuning forks are heavier and produce a deeper, fuller sound.

The tuning fork is sounded using special mallets, a hammer, or by striking it against a hard rubber surface (such as activators). Some therapists sound it by tapping it against the edge of the hand or under the knee. The tuning fork is held by the stem (you can also use holders made of cork, plastic, or wood), allowed to resonate (you don't have to hear the sound, the focus is on the vibration), and held 3–10 cm from the body or placed on specific points on the body or painful areas depending on the frequency.
