BRASS TUNING FORKS
Brass tuning forks are known for their warm, rich, and long-lasting sound. Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc, characterized by high density, corrosion resistance, and long durability. Brass tuning forks are heavier, with a deeper and fuller sound.
Therapeutic use: Thanks to their rich sound, brass tuning forks are often used to relieve tension and stress, harmonize chakras, and improve overall well-being.
The tuning fork is sounded using special mallets, hammers, or by striking it against a hard rubber surface (e.g., activators). Some therapists also strike it against the edge of their hand or under the knee. The tuning fork is held by its stem (handles made of cork, plastic, or wood can also be used), allowed to resonate (you may not hear the sound, as vibration is key), and held 3–10 cm from the body or applied to specific points or painful areas depending on the frequency.
