Overtone flutes

Koncovka is a traditional overtone flute without holes. At first glance, it appears very simple, but its beauty lies in this very simplicity. You do not create tones on it with your fingers, but with the force of your breath, by changing the pressure, rhythm, and by opening or covering the lower end of the flute.

When playing, natural harmonic tones are gradually resonated using varying breath strength. Therefore, the melody is created differently than on a standard flute - it is not based on a series of fingerings, but on the force of breath, feeling, and fluid transitions between tones. Koncovka thus beautifully connects playing with breathing and the body's natural rhythm.

It is suitable for joyful spontaneous playing, simple accompaniments, and moments when you want to play freely and without complex technique. Its sound can be gentle, pastoral, quiet, and calm, but also brighter, dynamic, rhythmic, and expressive.

From us, you will find koncovkas made of elder wood and bamboo, in various tunings. For each one, you can listen to a sound sample and choose the one you like the most.
