The overtone flute is a traditional Slovak folk musical instrument belonging to the category of wind instruments. It is made from a single piece of wood, usually without finger holes, which gives it its characteristic sound. The player changes pitch using breath control and subtle lip movement. The overtone flute is closely associated with shepherd traditions, and its sound is melodic and calming.
