Perfect for recording the natural sound of acoustic instruments: strings, plucked instruments, brass, ethnic instruments, piano, chamber ensembles, choirs, and vocals, as well as drums, overheads, and room recording - always with a clear, full, and highly musical sound free from disturbing artifacts. The omni-directional characteristic ensures pleasant room/ambient capture. The response is full and natural even when capturing from various angles.
The OM1 microphone is also excellent for recording amplified instruments.
Thanks to its small dimensions (the microphone is almost the same size as a standard XLR connector), it is very easy to place without getting in the way. Its black color also makes it very discreet on stage.
