Double Flute G

The Double Flute G is a unique instrument with a double chamber that produces a rich, spatial, and harmonious sound. Composed of two flutes connected side by side, it allows you to play melodies and harmonies simultaneously – as if two instruments were sounding at once.

You can play a melody on one flute and hold a drone tone on the other, play the same melody on both flutes at the same time, or perform different melodies on each (creating a beautiful “dialogue”).

Each side features four holes in the front and one thumb hole in the back, allowing a full pentatonic scale to be played with soft and colorful tones shaped by your breath.

How to Play the Double Flute G

Playing the Double Flute is natural and intuitive. The instrument has two separate chambers – left and right – each with its own set of finger and thumb holes. Hold the flute lightly in your hands, use your little fingers for the bottom holes, and gradually lift your fingers upward for smooth transitions between tones.

By blowing into the small mouthpiece, the air divides between both flutes. With a gentle, calm breath, a pure tone emerges that can be developed into melodic and harmonic combinations. You can experiment with different breathing articulations to achieve various tone colors and intensities.
