Original Chinese temple gong with a powerful, deep, and immensely rich sound.
Chao gong means "earthy" gong and is the counterpart to the wind gong (Feng gong). Its sound spreads quickly in space and has a different type of frequencies than the Feng gong. The gongs we offer come from the highest quality original traditional production.
Chao gongs are made with a thinner center and a thick edge where the metal is bent. This design concentrates vibrations in the center, while the outer edge holds the tone until all the overtones fade away and only the rumble of the deepest fundamental tone is heard.
This earthy gong has a diameter of 30 cm.
