ABOUT THE MONITORS

Abacus C-Box 3 two-way active speakers use Dolifet type power amplifiers with an active crossover and the company's own 4" (100mm) Wavecor driver, giving the successor to the C-Box 2 monitor higher sound pressure and better bass response. The approximately 1.6-liter sealed enclosure also houses a 1" neodymium tweeter and controls for smooth adjustment of volume and bass frequency balance. Available in a variety of color finishes, the monitor operates in a frequency range of 35 Hz to 20 kHz (-6 dB).

The ABACUS C-Box series offers perhaps the most compact monitors for high-end listening. They allow you to enjoy top-quality sound even in limited space, whether it's on a desk, around your TV screen, or in a study. Despite their small size, the low-frequency response of these monitors reaches down to 35 Hz, where the special circuit technology and closed design contribute to a completely natural bass presentation. While the C-Box 3 is sufficient for a desktop or TV sound setup, the C-Box 4 can handle full-fledged listening situations and can of course be used in combination with a subwoofer or in a surround setup.

Thanks to the extremely short and compact signal path inside the C-Box monitors, only a few active and passive components are used on the way to the driver, which significantly reduces the self-noise level of the monitors. All C-Box series speakers use 1" ring tweeters that give them their distinctive appearance and are ideal for near-field listening due to their properties. The C-Box speakers use bass woofers from Wavecor, which have excellent performance and their fiberglass-reinforced membranes provide sufficient strength for excellent bass reproduction. The C-Box 3 and C-Box 4 are practically identical models from a technical point of view. The smaller model features a more compact and powerful neodymium magnet, while the larger model uses a more powerful ferrite magnet.
