The sound and vibration massage is facilitated by an instrument with six pentatonically tuned tongues, the tenor tongue drum. It is designed for children or smaller people who lie down on the flat surface of the instrument. Another person (a caregiver, teacher, therapist, or another child) provides the massage by playing the tuned tongues. Drumming and vibrations help people recharge their life energy, giving them the motivation to act and complete tasks. It has a beneficial effect on volitional processes.
