Sansula Deluxe | tuning A minor 440 Hz

Sansula Deluxe is a premium kalimba with a natural calfskin membrane from the workshop of the German manufacturer HOKEMA. Its tone is exceptionally full, warm, and long-reverberating. You can play the nine tines in A minor with a gentle pluck of your fingers; no musical knowledge is required.

Each Sansula Deluxe is crafted by hand in the HOKEMA workshop. Thanks to the natural leather, every piece looks slightly different, meaning you take home an original instrument that has no twin.

How it Sounds and How to Play It

You activate the tines by plucking with your thumbs or fingers, freely and without rules. The tones are tuned to always resonate naturally together, allowing you to improvise and let yourself be guided by the sound.

The leather membrane gives the tone richness and depth that you will notice right from the first pluck. The sound vibrates gently and fades slowly. You can also influence its timbre by how you hold the instrument in your palms.

Using the included Allen key, you can adjust the tension of the membrane. Natural leather reacts to temperature and humidity, and this makes it easy to keep your instrument in great condition.
