Space Odyssey Chime

The Space Odyssey Chime is a large hanging metal wind chime with a special tuning based on doubled octaves. Each note recurs an octave higher, creating a rich, wide harmony from the fundamental tones.

With the movement of air or a light touch, a striking, full sound with a long sustain can be heard. The tuning evokes the famous opening notes of "Also sprach Zarathustra," also known from the movie 2001: A Space Odyssey.

You can hang the chime indoors and outdoors, ideally where it has plenty of space and can resonate freely.
