As there were no tuning forks in the Planetware programme that were octave analogous to the colour indigo (blue violet) used in certain colour therapies, a corresponding natural frequency was sought.
The earth's magnetic field not only has a north-south pole component, but also shows a so-called micropulsation spectrum. This has a maximum in the range around 9 -10 hertz. Since the minor third above the Schumann resonance not only falls in this range, but also corresponds exactly to the colour blue-violet, the frequency geomagnetic field maximum was chosen in this way.
