INTERESTING FACTS
"Cas cas" (also known as "kashaka", "aslatua", "televi", or "kasso kasso") is a traditional African percussion instrument. It consists of two small wooden or plastic chambers filled with solid materials, such as seeds or stones, connected by a string. The player holds a chamber in each hand and moves them in such a way that the chambers shake and create rhythmic sounds. Playing the cas cas requires some skill as it involves coordination and various shaking and turning techniques to create different rhythms. Cas cas is often used in African music for rhythm accompaniment and dance and is valued for its portability and unique sound.
